Circuit breaker is my guess, at full tilt 5, you're getting unresisted power to the motor. Something got too hot :imo

Does that have anything to do with the outside temperature? It hit 100° today.

under the pass side dash, you'll need to remove the insulation cover to access it. Held on by several 9/32" hex screws.
