nice looking truck IMHO how about a body side molding to break up the metal some?

i removed the molding after having the truck for two hours. I think it looks better and more sleek demolded, not to mention the gm molding strips lose their coloring drastically faster than the rest of the body.
Well took apart my fogs today. Noticed that the guys sent me the wrong ones (really wouldve had no idea, cant tell by looking closely). They sent me red/blue leds, which creates that pinkish purplish color. So this morning I decided to disconnect what I thought was amber, which turned out to be red, so i could just run white, which turned out to be blue. either way, looks a ton better. Also looks a ton cooler with every other led running, instead of all of them at the same time.

New plan is 7-9 Mcgaughys kit with 35s and 20x12. Im open to rim suggestions. Im not doing 22 and 33s. not my style, and cant afford to tear them up, seeing as i go through many tacobell drive thrus...
Nice truck!

I'm partial to 35's, but 33's definitely don't look bad. The 33's will give you more of a Cen Cal look and allow you to run higher gears.

I love those tows! I've been meaning to get a set, but my budget hasn't allowed yet. How are they holding up?

Tows are great. Holding up good even with these crazy ice storms.
Cant decide what my next move is. Im purchasing the lift in the next month or so, but cant decide what else i want to do right now.
Either im going to get the lift, then get a set of 35s for my current 17s (which im going to do anyways for a winter set), OR i could save a little more and get the 20x12s and 35s. The only reason I want to go ahead and get the tires for the 17s is A) i will eventually do it anyways and B) it wont take as long to save up.
me likey, next mod I'd do is drop a 454 in that sum bitch

switch me trucks :challenge:
Do 17s and 35s first. I think you'd be happy with that until you can save for 20x12s and 35s. I'd actually run a 315 70 17 on your xds.

I think i decided on wheels. I can replace the centercap with the other one hostile sells, and they only come in x12, which is good for me. Just released today!

You know what I'm about to say... ion 183s would be perfect

Those wheels don't look bad, but I really like the 183s

Just a little update:

Decided against cheaping out on the lift. So instead of the Mcgaughys Economy kit, which didnt come with skid plate, aal, or a-arm supports, I decided on the Standard kit. Got it for 1476, after their 10% discount. Will be installed during spring break, March 21-30, and then a few weeks later Ill pick up new 35 trail grapplers for my current 17s.

Also picked up a black HD grill off of a forum member. Should look nice considering my billet grille has broken clips and is being held on by zip ties at the moment...
Sounds like good plans. I was under the impression you could get fts lifts a little cheaper than that though. Still going with 35 on a x12?

Whose truck is on the far left in the group pic. Saw it at summit when I met the guy to buy that 14" whiplash.

The fts basic kit can be had on this site for like 1390, but that's with no rear shocks, and no front adjustable struts. The mcgaughys kit comes with both and a lot more. And yes, the plans are still 35s and x12s
