nope...what happens is when you download the program into your vehicle it registers yoru vin tothe unit.....but you can take the programmer out and put the truck back to stock settings, and when you do that it basically wipes the programmer clean so yo ucan start new...

are these any better than jet stage ii performance chips?

yeah they are...cause you can play with certain parameters...where as the chips are set and thats it....

would you consider $100?

Nope, I bought mine used. As long as the vehicle has been "de-programmed" it will program another. Simply put, It can only program one vehicle at a time.
