The part numbers on the end of my torsion bars don't even match any of these. One says 2RK and the other says LM 421. They arent the ones that were on the truck because Billy at Showoff had some chromed for me and installed those and took mine off.

My key bolts are 75% of the way screwed in yet Im 100% flat CV angles. Theres no signs of cranking. Maybe 1/4"

not good at all dude. the stickers are what you need, not the casting numbers. i would NEVER do a "swap" with someone else's used torsion bars not knowing their exact condition and mounting orientation. You run a 50% chance of installing them backwards -leading to very quick softening.
Sounds like at least one of:
1. they were already worn out
2. they are installed backwards
3. they are underrated for your truck

if you are wanting new bars, you should get at least GL's. I would more probably get XG or GH's since you have a duramax and the price will be the same.

Yea I didnt even think about it and I doubt Billy at showoff did either. But with the keys cranked 75% of the way and me being completely flat Id assume they are a few steps below the stock bars.

And Ill defintely be going with the stock GL bars, powder coated this time not chrome. Winters here eat away at chrome real bad.

Any idea if I do go with the XG if my stock keys will work? I read that every bar has different indexing which makes me wonder if itll work with stock keys

And those GHs you mentioned supposedly have less max torque than the GLs

had some chromed for me and installed those and took mine off.

How do you chrome a spring and not have the chrome crack and flake off after a short time of the spring doing what a spring does?

Jon, if you get another set of bars powdercoated you will have the same problem unless they are brand new. They will remove the labels to powdercoat. You need the labels unless you mark them otherwise.
