ive got a 94 dodge caravan with 2 jl audio(dont know the model names) but its doesnt really catch rock notes and stuff its mostly a rap sub, i need 4 decent subs for 250 or less :crazy:

also they should be 12's

It honestly sounds like you aren't giving them enough power. 2 10's or 12's should be more then enough for the everyday person.

I would go Kicker L5's, JL Audio w-3's, or maybe some Image Dynamics.

What kind of boxes are they in? sealed or ported? I would go sealed for a box for rock music.

The box might be the problem. If it's too big/small for the sub, it'll sound like crap. It you can, find out the model of the sub (you may need to take it out and look at the back of the sub), and give us the dimension box. I'll try and figure out if the sub is right for the box.
