My friend was driving his 1990 s10 Blazer on the freeway and both rear wheels locked up. He says its not the brakes and the engine works fine. What could be causing this maybe the transmission? Im not sure but it would be a lot cheaper if we could figure it out rather than him pay for an estimate. Thanks guys.

scratch that he just called and said they towed it to the shop :pissed:

:word: Drop the driveshaft, push the truck. If it moves, then its probably the tranny. If it doesn't, its the rear end. I'm voting for rear end.

I dont know if there was any leaks He just called me and told me about it so i didnt get a chance to see it before they took it to the shop. I hope its the rear diff and not the tranny.

Where do you live? Have you tried calling any local 4x4 shops? Some might be able to give you an answer by telling them what had happened.
