I wouldn't bother with the stock H/U. Ive heard it has pretty much a crossover and doesn't allow hardly any low end...so even if u do get it hooked up through it and have an amp and speakers that should pound...it will barely hit...get an aftermarket headunit and you will be MUCH happier.

Your going to need to find your control lead, and splice into it, its a blue wire, but i never looked at my stock H/U so i dont know what it looks like, but its a solid blue wire, that hook into your amp, and tells it to turn on. then hook up a battery cable to your amp comming of your battery. Now, Your wire cut off of your rear speakers need to connect to your amp, not the subs, idk about an inverter, it should work going straight to your amp. the amp should have inputs for these, Right and Left. the control lead should be lable R somthing, i forget. then connect your amp outputs to your subs.

Well throw a couple good quality head units at me. Right now I just got a couple small Pioneer 10's in truck boxes, I think they 250 watts a piece. I got a 350 kenwood amp.

I still run my stock head unit, mainly because I have CD and tape and I use the tape player for my MP3 player. Mine hits plenty low, what I did was buy 2 wiriring harnesses, one that conected to the radio, the other that plugged into the truck wiring, then I spliced into these ... in the end I didn't have to cut any of the factory wires ... I'm running a high to low converter on both the front and rear speaker wires, so I can fully fade front to rear ... I'm happy for now, till I can make get a screen
