got an 05ccsb what would be a good helper bag kit?

Stock or lifted, I would use the AirLift system (sleeve-style if 1/2 ton). For lowered, check out Mcgaughys

ive always used air lift on my lowered trucks. mcgaughys is good too

air lift would be my first choice. I've never used or installed Mcgaughys kit but they don't skimp on the lowering parts they made so I wouldn't imagine they would skimp on the helper kits.

How is the rear done? flip kit with lift shackle or shackle with drop springs?

If you have a flip kit I would stick to the same brand. I would assume that mcgaughys and belltech assist bag kits are designed to work with their flip kits.
