Waht gears you have now. 4.56 will put you close to stock. But if you got 3.73 and some 315 mud terrains i wouldnt bother unless you want power. Most 315's are like 33" tall once weight is on them

ive got 3.42s and 35s and the tranny doesnt like it....spend the money now or spend it on a tranny later....my 2 cents

This isn't an accusation, but a principle to live by that my Dad taught me as a teenager. "Either do it right, or don't do it all." 35" tires need lower gears for the truck to function properly. 4.56s will put you back to basically stock gearing. I learned this the hard way on my '89. I was only running 33s. I put the tires on and then did cam, headers, intake.....trying to get my power back. Nothing fixed the problem until I put in 4.10 gears. There's no replacement for proper gearing.
