I just picked up my brand new 2011 Sierra Crew a few days ago. Today I noticed that the front lip of the rear fenders and the bottom rear lip of the rear fenders have some type of clear film. It kind of looks like the stuff used for the front of the truck to protect against paint chips but I also read somewhere that it was supposed to be removed by the dealer when its prepped for sale.

I actually took delivery of the vehicle the same day it was delivered to them. Maybe they forgot to remove it? I am positive they didn't add it, it came from the factory that way.

Should I keep it or remove it?

Anyone add the clear film to the front for paint protection?

In front of the rear wheel wells? Its to protect from rock chips. Bothered me at first too but I left it alone.
