yeah...but any chevy is capable of 200,000 if its been treated well.

haha its not too new.... it will be hicked out the 1st day its home.
4 foot diesel flex whippers, CB, cow bell hanging from the rear bumper, stickers,,,,,, :rocking:

the main reason i like it is the manual tranny....that manual tranny will be there long after that truck has rusted away.

That truck looks good, like HumanZoom said the only downside is the miles but those 5.7's aren't too hard to come by. I think it would be hard for me to pass up that manual trans. I wish I could have gotten a manual but noooo GM has to put a damn auto in everything. :flame:

OC- dont worry, i'll still have a lifted locked SFA chevy. :rocking:

Silverado- maybe they are more popular around here? I find probably about 60% automatics, 40% manuals.

I called the dealership and the guy i talked to thinks they sold it but he was guna call me back to see for sure. :bawl:

I dont know what your purposes will be for your new truck but i'd shoot for 1 year newer, the tbi is in no comparison with a vortec350
Yeah Travis, it'd be better to have a 96+ if possible for the simple fact that it has a vortec instead of tbi. The tbi setup makes for a total dog, but my friends 97 with a vortec is pretty fun to drive. I know how you like to raise hell, and itd be a lot easier with the vortec. The only thing to watch out for is the coolant leak, but you seem mechanically inclined :D
BTW, our 95 burb has 90k miles on it, no probs :head:

Yeah they dont got it no more,,,, but the thing is i cant find hardly ANY 96+ with manual trannys in them.... oh well, the search continues.

David- what do you mean raise hell,,, who does that.. its still pretty easy to spin tires on gravel with a tbi...but dont ask me how i know that. dads '91 3/4 ton does purdy good. :rocking:

I basicly just want something that i can depend on, get me to distant party towns, the city and such. it wont be my hell raiser,,,, thats why i have my '79 and '78

Haha, I just figured you like hauling ass, and with a TBI it takes a lot longer to get their than a vortec. I driven all 3, a 95 TBI, a 97 Vortec, and of course, my 5.3 :D I'd definitely hold out for the Vortec 350 though, theyre a good powerful engine :head:

hehe damn right they are...

test drove a truck today.

1998 ex cab long box 3/4 ton 4x4. its got cab lights, a big grill guard, nerfbars, brand new tires, white in color...its a badass looking truck. 88,000 miles. Throw a chrome headache rack and a diamond plated tool box in back with some CB antennas bolted to it, = hick truck x10! :worship:

It looks kinda wierd with them big fender flares, them would be gone immediatly. and the reason theres no chrome rockers on the box is it was a flat bed from the factory and they put a brand new box on it. their a little high on the price, $15,900 but he said hes very negotiable and will take ANY trades.
