I was planning to buy the plug and play Nitrous Express kit for my 2005 Silverado 5.3, until my friend told me that I needed to do some research before I put it on my truck. My truck is a stock 5.3, it does not have any forged internals or anything. The plug and play kit says that v8 can use up to a 150hp shot. I was wondering if anyone has used this kit and what they would recommend.

you'll need some headers to set it off. and i wouldnt shoot over a 75 unless you got some extra cash to reabuild the damage you gunna cause
Do you just post different bits and pieces of other people's ideas/thoughts you read?

Just stop.

His 5.3 with a fuckin 75 shot wouldnt need a set of headers with a "ridiculous primary size"

You've seen 60Es dump on much more? So "much more" as in what?

Ive seen 60Es die in stock trucks but im not telling this guy to go have it detuned to save the trans.

But on a more serious note, what "you" may have seen is totally different than what the rest of the spraying world has seen. I blew up 3 4L60E transmissions on a completely stock motor for the most part. There is NO SAFE SHOT that will guarantee no failure from your motor/transmission. A 50,75,150 or hell even nothing could mean the end of your transmission. It sounds like you need to do some more research before even thinking of going with the bottle.
