I have an 08 Sierra Ext Cab that im planning on putting some 26"x10" wheels on with 30 series tires. My question is, can a 4/6 drop be done with this combo, and if so, what backspacing will i need to look for on these wheels. I could have sworn Ive seen it done before but Im pretty sure its a tight fit. Any help is appreciated.

I dont think that you could fit 26's running a 4/6 without rubber band tires on that bitch.

22's or 24s will be alot better choice here:imo

24's are starting to become so common and i love the look of the nnbs on 26's. I guess i can always put the wheels on then measure to see what kind of drop i can do. Just trying to narrow the fender gap a little. I checked on a wheel/tire calculator and it says that the new combo will be really close to the stock sized 275/55/R20 tires so i just figured that whatever drop you could do to stock wheels you could do to the new ones.

Its going to be very hard to run 26's with a 4/6 drop. I only have 20's but I want to run a 2/4 for ride and looks. Either you have little ass tires on those 26s or your going to rub the fender wheels like a s.o.b

You probably will have to put a 275/25R26 tire on it that might give you a little more clearance thats the shortest 26" tire i know of so far. Its 31.4" tall so it would be very tight you might be able to do a 3" drop up front to clear better. I know when i was running a 32" tall tire with my 3" drop up front i rubbed on big bumps and when the wheel was fully turned on a +40 offset on a 10 wide wheel.

what size 26" tire was it?

offset >> as much as you can, minimum +32mm

The offset really wont change for a 26 or 24 because they are both 10" wide. you want anything higher then +32. I have ran both +32 and +40 with no problems at all with a 32" tire and 30.75" tire with no major rubbing.

godfather customs had his 4/6 on 26s looked sick as fuck.
Thanks Sam. Acually it was 5/7 drop, but close enough.
I had 275/25/26 tires and still had some rubbing up front.

I think 26s are badass on there if you dont mind running a 25 series tire.

You will feel everything on the road! I am going back to 24s myself.
