If you're learning for the first time then it might take a little while. It took me about a day to do the front and a day to do the rear. But i had to do a notch, i just used hand tools and i did it on jackstands.

Does the gas tank really need to come down to get leaf spring bolt out? Can the axle just be pushed one way or the other to clear axle?
you can do it that way, but I wouldnt recommend it if your using jackstands/jacks. The gas tank is easy to lower, just 3 tiny screws at the neck and 2 bolts for straps and she comes right down.

You dont have to take them out but if your working on a hoist it will make it way easier

First of all you're replacing the rear hangers right?

That's going to take about 3 hours by itself, it's a total bitch.

Spindles probably about 1 to 1.5 hours and the flip kit is not that hard to do. Put the tank on a floor jack and swing it out just a little bit; long enough to get the bolt out. I didn't even have to disconnect the filler hose.

took me part of a second day just to finish up, the first time i did a drop. but you got air tools and a lift. should take no longer than 8 hours. took me around around 8 hours to install my 4/7 with helper bags, and thats on jack stands and no air tools. if all your doing is spindles up front...real quick. for the rear, flip kit is easy. never done hangers.

It'll take you a good whole day being your first time, because you're gonna be slow about it. But all of that stuff is pretty easy, if you have half a brain it shouldn't be hard
took me about a little over a day all told, but I wasn't in a rush and was getting a bit of edumcation(that's right) cause I've never done a drop before.
