Funny you bumped this today. My truck has had problems like these several times in the past: lights going crazy, gauges going crazy, door locks cycling, clock resetting, etc. Check your battery terminals first to make sure they're not corroded. Cleaning my terminals has always made it go away, but it seems to come back every few months. If that doesn't fix it check all your grounds.

Anyway, it happened to me again today. I was on my way home from class with cruise on and when I would use my turn signal cruise control would shut off. Then later I was running errands and the whole lights flashing, door locks cycling thing started happening. Cleaned the terminals when I got home, and accidentally over tightened the negative cable and broke that weird T-bolt :suicide:
So I guess I'm gonna have to get a new terminal end cause I don't know where to find a new t-bolt

Bump!

My 08 half ton is doing something weird right now

When I'm cruising and hit the blinker or break pedal it kills half the speakers then they come back. Or it kills the aftermarket radio (installed for a few years without issues) and then it reboots and comes back on with music playing

The other day it lit up the red air bag logo on the dash and made the temp and direction deal on the rear view mirror show some alien words :rof

And now while cruising (and not doing anything) the doors locks would cycle

I disconnected the battery and parked it last night so I will try driving it tonight and see what happens...

I mean, it can't cause my breaks to lock up..... Can it!?

I could handle it dying, but screeching to a stop would be nuts!!

Isn't there a recall on the ground wire from the battery to chassis? If not, replace that wire after you check your connections for corrosion.

There was a service bulletin, but I don't think there's a recall. I'm gonna replace my terminal end to get the truck running, but I think I'm gonna end up replacing my negative cable. I'm not a fan of having one of those janky replacement terminal ends on my truck
