asking this question for a buddy of mine because i am stumped. he has an 04 d-max. he is claiming to have no power in first gear, 2-5 are fine i guess. he say's it doesn't feel like it is slipping. he also say's there is no engine codes being thrown. i don't know much about the d-max so i was hoping one of you guy's could help me out. keep in mind i've never been in this vehicle so my information on it is limited. thanks guy's.

ever look at the torque converter? does it feel like its trying to push through the brakes at a stop light?
