As far as I know the fuel pump relay is on the firewall where you think it is.

I do not know of a back up unit though  I'm pretty sure the oil pressure sensor/sender is on the back of the bock near the distributor. I had it apart, its got oil on it and its got wires coming out of it, dunno what else it would be

yeha im gonna pull the cover off on mine tomorrow,
the problem i have is that i think after alittle bit of driving, say like
30mins or so, the truck will just turn-off, and wont turn on for about 10mins or so
i checked the fuel pressure and it was 13psi, i havn't checked the fuel pressure when it turns off like that tho

its not my daily driver anymore, i drive it to work maybe 1 or 2 times a week now, and i want to drive it to a show thats about 45mins away so i need to get this problem fixed or im gonna have to use one of my bosses trailers and tow it to the show with my nbs but i don't really want to do that because thats kind of ghetto
and i don't want to be rolling it down the highway and have to pull over for about 10mins or so for this thing to cold down and start up again
