As of right now I've mostly just seen them described as 14+

What about referring to them by generation, gen 1, gen 2 etc, etc.?

How about, since they are the new body style, call them the new body style

NNBS and NNNBS designations are stupid and always have been.

Legal in every state.

I'm more a fan of the gmt series designation...gmt8, gmt9, gmt10 etc so they aren't so annoying to type out.

I believe gm ditched the numbers for 14+ trucks. Cause it was gmt400,gmt800,gmt900.... But now the code is gmt k2xx

The only problem with 14+ is the hd models are still nnbs for 14. Im having a hard time finding things for my 14 because of this carry over. The k2 designation will work once it catches on according to gm the xx part is cab size ie. K2CC is crew cab K2DC is double cab and K2RC is reg cab. Not to make the k2 designation even more confusing or anything. Lol
