how do i go about replacing the 3rd brake light on my yukon? i know how to get it of i just dont know how to get to the plug.

Should be two screws...one on each side

i mean where is the plug in? all i can see is the wiring snakes down under the roof. am i better off just splicing the wires from the old set to the wires on the new light?i got a free light so i want to make some use of it and my 3rd is pretty dark looking at night

Hmm not sure if it has a connector. If you do splice it PLEASE do it the right way:

Use solder and good heat shrink...

definitely am. i was going to do that or thru those things that are metal inside and pinch the wire in it both sides.

Lol Butt-connectors?....still would go with solder and heatshrink..

the connector is about 5-6" from the end
