they are the same thing, a HIGHER stall torque convertor is what you may need but since you have the 4l80e you dont need a new convertor. It flashes stock at around 2500 rpm which will be good if you choose one of the smaller cams a few of us have suggested in your cam thread.

what if i choose to go with just an aftermarket torque converter...i can get a lot of powwer out of that cant I?
