They have it labeled as a Ford but I'm pretty sure it is a Ford Sedan, possibly late 40's/early 50's. Does anyone know the year/model by seeing that...I know there is a ton of bodywork but the interior and front end should help get a year/model.

Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.

Sorta looks like a '49 -'51 Mercury 2 door hardtop to me. not sure if it came with that front end though  Pretty damn sweet looking either way! :rocking: Heres a shot of a '49 Merc that was auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson :rocking: :rocking:

i wish I knew for sure, the one I posted has tail light flares on the rear panels leading into the tail light, hard to say if that was custom or stock. Maybe it's a Merc with a Ford grille.

Oops.. I was wrong, but very close. If I'd been paying more attention I would have noticed that it has "Ford" script on the steering wheel horn button. Its actually a very modified 1949 Ford Mercury Club Coupe. Its been sectioned about 4" right down the middle, and chopped about the same up top, and the headlights have been frenched in :head: Heres a shot of what an original one looks like- this one is WAY more bitchin' - especially if its got the original Flathead 51 Mercury motor in it!! :rocking:
