My bro's truck, or my old truck, was garage kept all its life. Then I took it off to College Station to school and it sat outside in the hot ass sun for the year. Over that year the hood and top of the truck faded (it's red). The paint guy said it was oxidation. Is there any way to bring the hood and roof back to a better state without a new paint job? Thanks guys.......

Buff it out with a fine cut polish. 3m Perfect-It will work wonders. If it doesn't do the job, go down to a rougher compound. I have some 3m stuff that takes out up to 1500 grit sanding scratches that does great.

To stop fading in the future you'll need to reguarly wax and polish the vehicle though :)
