i'd go with a nice devilbiss model like this one...

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=34775

i have it, LOVE it, and it's super easy to use, that and you'd need either like a 20 dollar water seperator or a 4 dollar inline filter, i'd spend the 20 though and get a filter right @ the compressor

BTW... what kinda compressor r u using???

right on, whatever you do, get a gravity feed gun. sears has one for $110 if you want to save a couple bucks. i use a siphon feed gun myself, it sprays nicely but there's always a few ounces of paint in the cup that goes to waste.

might not be a bad idea to get an all in one if you're going to be doing a lot of painting. sharpe makes a nice wall mount unit with a filter, separator, and pressue regulator.

make sure you only get a water seperator, do not get a FRL ( filter regulate lubricate) unit, or you'll end up with oils in your paints, i just use a water seperator and oil my tools up before use, that way theres no oil in my lines/paint, i just put 3 drops in beofre use on my non painting tools
