I'm going to be dropping a few things to be painted this week (escalade handles, tailgate bezel, tailgate top plastic, mirrors) I'm having a hard time deciding what to paint on the rear bumper. Either the chrome part and leave the black plastic or leave the chrome to contrast the remaining chrome on the truck and painting the black plastics. Any opinions?

I dont like painting the plastics because that gets stepped on when actually using the bed to climb in and out. I would rather paint the chrome to match your truck.

Since your running black wheels. Id colormatch the chrome.

if you color match the chrome you have to do the front bumper too. and take off your chrome side trim.
but since your getting esky handles I say leave the bumper alone to balance the chrome.
Yea if you paint the bumper trim it will be all scratched and chip from feet.
just stick with the original plan and that it ....can't wait for pics later!

Yes to powder coating. I'm personally not too keen on chrome, it eventually rusts (esp in cold and wet weather) over time no matter how often you clean it. So it might not be a bad idea to paint them.
