So I bought my truck used. The dealershit here in Clarksville, TN (Wyatt Johnson) didn't disclose or they said they didn't know that there had been a dent pulled out of the back door of the truck. Well I noticed it before I bought it and they said no problem they would fix it. Well they SAID they fixed it but what the guys really did was take the molding off and move it over to cover the paint crack. They put the molding back on with silicone! Well today when I was washing and waxing it I notice the molding pealing off and I found the damage still there. :supergay: Go figure. Needless to say I took it back there today. The manager wouldn't even come out and look at it. He just said he would get a hold of his body work guy again and they get it in to get fixed. BS. I am going to go get a quote from another shop and take that to them. I want it done right this time! Pics posted.

I would hate to know how much people get ripped off over bodywork. I caught a body shop here trying to charge me for removing and reinstalling molding that I didnt have!!! Was funny when I brought it up...

Yeah "look" at it. The same guy that did this crap! I would be willing to bet (no proof other than my case) they rip a ton of Soldiers off, which pisses me off even more.

EXACTLY what I said today when I took off that piece of molding and who puts molding on with household silicone! They couldn't even get some 3m double sided tape? Well if they would've put the tape on there I wouldn't know their "fix" job. So good for me and shitty for them. Just pathetic and unprofessional.

What do you expect? Really? This is the exact reason that most stealerships have a bad rep and their service dept's are desolate right now. One chevy dealership tryed to rip off a company here in town over a rear-end issue and were overheard talking taht they used to have around 200+ hours of work overall in service dept. a week and now are struggling because they are only getting ~50 hours a week.

You just have to stay on top of them, question just about everything they do, check back over their work, in general let them get the idea that you know something about automobiles and you WONT be ripped off by them. :nono:

Update:
It is going to cost $1253 to fix the door and front of the box right in front of the rear wheel and repaint everything. Dealership agreed to fix it, we'll see how that turns out. AND! Some stupid [email protected]#H backed into the front of my truck this morning when I was filling gas. Her car went under my bumper and gave her a good dent, but she scuffed my front black piece all up. issed:

But since I have the one door molding piece off, I decided to take the rest of them off today. Need to go wax it now. Still can't decide if I should take the VortecMAX off, but I want it on there. We'll see how it looks. Anybody want some VR door molding?

Yeah, they'd better! I got a couple quotes from other places as well and they all come up with the same thing, so we'll see. I just hate not having my truck for another week.
