Pretty sure my truck has at least 1 plugged cat

03 Sierra 4.8 4x4.

I'm getting a catalyst below efficiency code. The truck has also been spark rattling lately under load, on hills and what not.

I'm going to break down and buy a new ypipe here pretty soon.

I dont want to have to do any custom tunes or anything, just put it in and drive it.

Does anyone have any opinions on this set up:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-0...93eQQitemZ170362243390QQptZRaceQ5fCarQ5fParts

Would that require any sort of tune?

Or am I better off to buy a stock y-pipe. rockauto.com has one for $340

any opinions are appreciated!!

thanks

The e-bay looks like a good deal and you shouldn't need a tune, the flanges look thick enough to not worry about warping so I would do that. If you do go that route need to be careful not to break a stud off in the motor that is fun to get back out after that happens.

I think warranty on emissions shit is 8 years 80,000 miles. You could get it replaced free at the dealer. More info on the truck.

EDIT: I see you're in Canada, I'm not sure about the warranty there.
