How do you know if a Tahoe or Truck actually had the police package?

whats the code?

I know the impalas were PC1 or something. Are the Tahoes and trucks just PPV?

All I could find always ended up talking about the PRO code "PPV", which comes up as "PPV - POLICE VEHICLE IDENTIFER"

No, only Tahoes recieved the Z56 package

Hmmm...well Z56 is just a suspension package isnt it, I searched and found that code on a 1996 Corvette :think:

THIS IS #901 CHEVY CORVETTE GRAND SPORT. THIS CAR IS JUST ABOUT PERFECT. IT WAS EQUIPED WITH THE Z56 SPORT HANDLING PACKAGE ALONG WITH ALL OTHER OPTIONS STANDARD TO THE GRAND SPORT LINE.

From what I can find. From 1997 on they reused the Z56 code for the police conversion & police package instead of a suspension package.

according to my catalog, Z56 was only used for two things in its life, the Police Package (97+) and TOP,REMOVABLE(DK BRONZE-TEXTURED) REMOVABLE TOP(Z56) from 82-85
