ok i have a 2003 silverado and i have done a few minor mods to it ( intake, programmer, exhaust) it isnt hooking up much so i figure is would change the gears in the rear end to make it a posi so i might hook up better. what all do i need just a posi traction gear or is there more involved than this? also what gear do you prefer a 373 or 410. im gonna be running 22s and do mostly city driving with an accasional highway driving. changing gear lube wont do shit...does running valvoline racing oil in your engine make it a race car motor now?

You will need a limited slip or full locker. Most people who DD their trucks will go for a limited slip. I prefer a full locker myself, but thats just me. Definately go with atleast 4.10s. Expect to spend 300-500+ for a limited slip, another 250 for gears and master install kit, and another 250-300$ in labor to install it all.
