I don’t know about that, but you could probably talk me into a Tahoe or Yukon clip swap.

I think if you wait a bit GM is going to do that for us. I get the feeling the face-lift is going to look a lot like the big SUV's. For the Silverado anyway.

After the Tahoe was revealed, I said it was a better way to design the front of the Silverado. At least it looks like GM was listening to the negative opinion of the sideburns. 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Refresh Leaked
If that is it, the Tahoe is still better. These grilles with the big Chevrolet lettering are awful and even worse when it’s at the top. Center bar with bow tie please.

Hopefully they make the doors like the SUV too and get rid of the swoop body line.
I don't think GM is going to spend that much money on trucks unless they redesign the whole truck. At least they are expected to offer a new interior.

We likely wouldn't have those grilles if Chevy wasn't trying to copy the look of the Ford Raptor. Hell, even Toyota is doing it. Instead of doing what works, they just copy what other companies do. The rumor mill also wants to pin a ZR2 model for the new model year, but I'm worried that GM won't go far enough to justify calling it a ZR2.

I'd hate to see a ZR2 Silverado. The ZR2 is a midsize offroad package and should stay that way. If GM wants to make a Raptor/TRX competitor, they need to find a new name or RPO code. But it's GM, they turned the Blazer into a car...

I just think that the ZR2 deserves something special. The Raptor got the top V8 (& then top V6) option & the TRX has something unique in the Ram lineup. The ZR2 Colorado should have gotten something unique (4.3L V6). I don't think GM had anything to offer for a Silverado ZR2.

2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Classic Lt1 Z71 - Bechtel Autos Inc

I don't know why but I keep coming back to this add, having crazy thoughts of going back to a NBS instead of the K2. This with Atomic Fab Coilovers, 1.5 BL, 4.10s tru-trac, polished billet 20x10s and 33s. Small system, AMP Steps,

Negatives - 5.3L v. 6.2L, 4L60E v. 6L90E, 2.5 times the miles, 14 year old NE truck so maybe some lurking rust.

Positives - I think the NBS is a better looking body style, NBS 03+ cloth seats are my favorite vehicle seats ever.

Am I nuts for thinking about getting rid of a mint, low mileage, newer, better optioned truck that I bought new and own outright for an older truck that I'd spend all of the extra cash I'd recoup on the sale making just like the truck I have now?

Tbh I’d stay in a newer truck unless you have something else you can daily drive

I’ve got a 17 year old Honda Accord beater for a daily. I only put about 2k miles a year on my truck.
2k miles a year man ? Imo why have the truck at that point. I’m incredibly NBS biased sources I’d tell you go back NBS regardless but still.

All about that smiles per gallon.
