I am looking at a 03 Z71 to purchase and it has the Protec composite box on it. I was wondering what everyone thought about this type of box. Rust isn't an issue where I live. I don't want it to seem cheap like some cars with the "Dent resistant" bodies.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I had the sportside on my 93 and the steps started to crack, after 10 years though. The protech sounds great especially here in Ohio, Cleveland uses about 14 tons of salt per lane per mile a year! One reason I bought the saturn Vue for my wife. 3 steel panels on the whole car. Back to the pro tech, I'd get it, it may cut down on road noise too.
