How can I tell if a set of wheel is aluminum vs. steel? I am trying to get a set on craigslist, but I am not certain if there is a stamp?

Those 2500 wheels should have a stamp - either Alcoa, USA or Hungary (see: http://www.thetruckstop.us/forum/sh...nging-Back-A-Set-of-PYO-s-From-The-Dead/page3). I can't remember which one my PY0 wheels had on my Avalanche, though.

I was training a guy on what dismount and mount tire bar to use on aluminum wheels. I told him that aluminum will make your tongue tingle if you licked it . Steel just tastes bad. You could try that.
