My buddy is thinking about getting this amp, BXi 2006D 2000-Watt x 1 RMS @ 1-Ohm. Hes getting it for $400 dollars, he want to use it to push 2 Kicker L7 12's. Will that amp work and is that a good deal?

i have two 12 L 7'S TOO....dont know what kind of amp to get..i can get good deals through memphis though.
with 2 12 L7s you'll want an amp with 1500 watts RMS
Which amp would you recommend for him to use that doesnt cost alot, also the subs are in a vented box
I dont know what "alot" is and dont know much about hifonics amps. But if the amp is actually rated at 2000 watts and hes getting some sort of deal on it, then by all means he should go for it.

If hes looking at spending around 4-500$ I'd go with THIS. Thats assuming he can run the subs in a 2-ohm load
well,its a good amp, i own one,but its not worth 400$

I have that amp's little brother for my single solo-baric and couldn't be happier with it (except I paid more for mine than the one listed above :banghead: )

why not, I thought those were awesome amps. Hell $400 is below my cost on it

So Hifonics stuff is good then?
I have a hifonics 2ch amp for my 12's and its been running strong for almost 2 years. Ya that sounds like a good amp for what you're trying to power. Go for it. I believe they're around $350 on ebay.
