Well like many others, the chrome door handles on my wifes LTZ Suburban are either loose, or have broken. This morning my son pulled on the door handle and just about pulled it out of the door (YAY), so I am going to be replacing it.

I have HEARD that the painted handles were made difference and were much less likely to break. I am wondering if that is actually true, or if they are the same as the chrome ones? Just wanting to know, because if the painted ones are just as likely to break, then I will just buy the chrome ones that I need and replace the ones that are broken instead of replacing all of them. THanks guys.

thanks for the help guys...just seems like there aren't as many people complaining about painted ones, but I don't want to spend more money and them be just as cheap and break.

My duramax had the color matched ones and the handle always seemed loose and wobbly but the chrome ones on the Tahoe are snug and fine
