I have a '99 Silverado 2500 heavy duty with a 6.0. I'm looking for a raised hood, hd hood, or something close to it without just a cowl. I'm looking everywhere online but everything I see is for 89-98, or 01-02, or just a 1500. The body shop and dealership tells me the only other hood I can interchange with is a 2000. Streetconcept is telling me 99-02 are all the same. Is there anyplace that sells a raised hood that's a direct fit for for my '99? Is there a hood/fender conversion option? Any info is greatly appreciated!

Wait if you have a 2500hd they are still obs. They didn't make the 2500hd until 01.

If it is a nbs it's a 2500 ld which is different. But if it's just a 2500 any 99-07c hood will fit

Im not going to bother with looking it up, but I know 99 was the first year for 2500hd nbs. They continued to make the old body style into 2000 I think ...for the 3500 HD. nbs dually 3500 came out in 2000. Also there were no single rear wheel 3500 until 07-08

2001 was the first year for the 2500HD. Before that they were just 2500's. You could get a 99-00 gmt400 2500 or a 99-00 gmt800 2500, but neither were called a 2500HD.

Well look it up because they never made the hd until 01.

So I had a regular old 2500. That's why I had to put a hd hood on it. Why waste my time looking shit up when somebody else knows it already.

“I’ll worry when it actually matters”

But I’m going to give incorrect information about a 20 year old truck that “doesn’t matter”

You’re fun

Hey sorry I jus saw all the messages. I have push notifications enabled now.
My truck is actually a 99 Silverado 2500 LS extended cab, long bed. It has the 6.0 so it comes with the bigger radiator and radiator support. The only hood that is interchangeable is from the 2000 truck, via the dealership's body shop. Most of the hoods I search for go on a 99 Silverado 2500 that has a 5.3 or smaller. My question is, can I just buy fenders, headlights, and a grille for a 2001 HD along with the HD hood for my 99 2500 6.0, or does that big radiator support screw all that up? Or can it be modified to work? Will I have to get the smaller radiator and radiator support? I'd prefer to have the HD hood over an aftermarket hood with a cowl if possible. I jus wish I had a 99 and a 01 parts truck to play with to try to interchange parts and find out for myself.
