So I have been battling myself with this decision lately. I am really on the fence about it, but I think it'd look badass.

Anyhow, I was thinking of taking apart my 3pc wheels, repainting the hoops in gloss black and painting the centers the 09 Z06 Cyber Gray like my SS ducts are now (not in any recent pics). I have been wanting to eliminate all chrome on my truck and just stick with black and gray.

I have some other color combos, maybe someone can render them up?

1) Gloss black lips / Cyber Gray Centers / Gray center caps / Black rivets
2) Flat black lips / flat gray centers / flat gray center caps / flat black rivets
3) Gray lips / black centers / Black center caps / Gray rivets

...Or just leave them alone? My wife says leave them be, but I dunno... I'm itching for a change??

Honestly, it looks great now. But, it would be a nice easy and cheap way to change it up a little bit. I vote for option #1

i was thinking of doing one wheel and seeing how it looked, and if i didnt like it, just stripping the paint off the chrome lips and keeping the centers the Cyber Gray.

just leave them as is, the black hoops will make them look smaller and doing flat paints will look like ass and make them just look dirty

I hate when the lips are painted a dark color, makes the wheel look soo tiny. At the looks of your wife's truck, you should listen to her since she has better taste.

i doubt you will be able to strip the paint off the chrome without the chrome being f'ed underneath. im pretty sure the chrome has to be either removed or atleast scuffed for paint to adhere, maybe? can you just get the another set of hoops? my vote is leave it, its tits now, but sounds like your just ready for a different look. new wheels??:hmm:
