there has been tons of talk about them since ive been into trucks. they are a good idea, but they give the arm more mechanical advatage against the TB, so it will sag down a lil more.

personally i wouldnt run them, just becuase they look like they dont follow the stock suspesion arc exactly. but im no engineer

i agree, it looks like there would be some major problems with that. worst of which could be one of those things breaking in two...then your suspension falls to shit as your torsion bar whips around as it unloads hitting god knows what. :nono:

Ive seen them in person, no way will they break. Your crossmember will snap in 2 before these things let go. I know a few people run them on their OBS and like them. You do have to move your crossmember back a few inches. On the NBS you have to hack the fuck out of your tranny crossmember to run them though :nono:

Thank you Dark Eternal for answering one of my biggest question of having seen them in person. Its good to know that you confident of thier build quality. I have been researching them for some time and I have come to the same conclusion about slightly increased wear on the TB's. In the current state the TB crossmember is being hit several times a run and the drop blocks for it are heavily damaged and the bolts for those are hurting. I do know about moving it back and I think that Im going to have to order a set know. Thanks for the oppinions and if anybody has more on the subject feel free to chime in.

how is saying that you have to do a major hack job on a rather important crossmember/support considered an endorsement

Yea, sorry if there was confusion, I do have an OBS. Which means no hack job for me, and hopefully just a great adddition to my ground clearance.

Neither was the guy that invented them...

I wouldnt run them for the same reason that Jeff mentioned. You're effectively decreasing the resistance to twist (torsion), by adding a lever into the equation.

Also on another thing, even if they are of decent quality and wont break, I'd still be worried that the t-bar could somehow become dislodged from the "Realift". That would be bad news.

Ok, looks like some people have issues with them.

Yes I know they add a 5 inch lever to the torsion bar, but at the same time the torsion bars are mount off center anyway and it shouldn't make much difference at all. A guy on FSC has them and uses them and loves em, he has a ride quality so similiar to before them that he can't tell the difference.

The TB are no more likely to slip out of the realifts than the lca, they are mounted the exact same way. If you have an issue with the way they were mounted staock then I could understand but otherwise I don't get it.
