I know that some of you have been putting in 5.25 in the back of extended cabs, but do you think it would be possible to put in a 6 1/2? The reason I am asking is because I bought some kicker 6 1/2 for the front and 5 1/4 for the rear, but they sent 2 sets of 6 1/2. So I'm trying to decide to either send them back or keep them.

If you want rear speakers, then yes. You'll have to do a little cutting, but you would have had to anyway with the 5.25's.

I was looking at putting them in today and I don't think it is going to work because the 6 1/2's are to deep.

So what does everyone think about making new door pods to hold 2 6 1/2's then keep my infinity 4x6's in the rear?

I don't run rear speakers in my x-cab. It pulls the sound stage to the rear of the cab and takes away your sound quality. A good set of well installed 6-1/2" components in the front with the right tuning will sound way better than having speakers in the back.
