On my 2001 Yukon, I have a squeak on the right rear. The noise seems brake related...sounds like the wear indicators...the squeaking goes away when the brakes are applied.

The sound still persists even though I have replaced the pads, rotor, parking brake shoes.

I did some research last night and it may be my wheel bearings. I can grab the studs and pull the "axle" out about 3/16" of an inch on the "noisy" side. On the "quiet" side, I might wiggle it about a millimeter or two.

So if the wheel is "wobbling", would this cause the noises I'm hearing?

Took it to the shop and it ended up being the clips that hold the brake shoes in (top and bottom metal pieces on the caliper). Make sure you get new ones every time you replace the brake pads...mine were too fatigued and weren't doing their job.
