What would you guys consider a reasonable price to have a gear ratio change done on a 2WD 2001 Suburban? I'm going to start shopping around for a shop to do it for me in the next couple weeks. I've received my suspension lift, wheels, and should have my tires in the next couple weeks. I want to have enough cash saved up to cover the ratio change and allignment once I have everything installed.

Just to throw a number out there, the local 4wheelparts quoted my "about" $700.

And if anyone is in the SF Bay Area and knows of a shop, please suggest it.

I just blew my rear g80, here in louisiana its gunna cost me 1100 to change the gears and to put in a detroit true trac with new bearings and seals, 700 dont sound bad for just gears and installation. the true trac cost 400 alone

4Wheel parts in Indy quoted me $600, half being parts and the other half being labor. I'm to cheap to pay $300 for labor so I'm going to try my hand in doing it myself.
