For now I want to get at least 2 more inches of drop out of the rear of my 89, but the more the better. What leaf should I remove? Not going to do any towing. And how do I remove it safley? Ive got a huge bench vise and stuff.
Take the lowest one out. Clamp all the leafs together except the one your gonna remove. Put a clamp around the whole stack too for safety. Loosen the center pin and loosen the clamp so it doesnt shoot off. take the center pin out, remove the leaf, and tighten the center pin back down. ( if you need to remove those retainers around the leafs, just bend them over with a pipe wrench)
