I want to do the spindle mod so I can actually turn in a drive through without backing up and doing a fuxking 100 point turn.

I'm sure people have, but is it a pain in the ass to remove the lower spindle nut after it's been cut since u can't stick a Allen wrench in it anymore?

Any tips/tricks???

just blast it off real quick with a impact gun, it's always worked for me. Otherwise you need to bind the balljoint in the spindle from spinning.

What I did once was squeeze the balljoint to the spindle using a C clamp and it would keep the BJ from rotating while I removed the nut with a socket and ratchet.

I suppose it would be a lot easier with an impact though.

Did you also cut the limiting brackets off the lower control arm? Front and rear?


OOOH! no i did not.. either thats not in the how to, or i over looked it.. ill look up the thread tomorrow and see if i missed it.. do you cut them completely off?
