Can this be done myself.. ? And how can I remove the factory blocks in the rear? I could sure use that 2inches of lowering.. :D
The lifted guys might know more about it ... not sure if the blocks have to be there so your leafs and axle can mate together. The axle and leafs may just go right together like the 2wd trucks.

jack the rear of the truck up using the frame, pop off the ubolts and take them out. lower the springs back down onto the axle, i'm not sure if there is a centering pin on the axle or not. make sure the springs sit flush on the axle and are lined up and retorque the nuts. an impact wrench is handy.

Yes you can.

Support the truck on jackstands. Remove Ubolts and drop the axel enough to remove the block. Jack it back up and torque to specs. Easy as that. :imo

Do one side at a time:read:
