I got some tax money back and am looking at a rough country 6 inch lift for my 98 gmc k1500. I dont have enough for a superlift or pro comp, so I am asking opinions and suggestions on what to look for and what could be problematic.

My cousin has one on his 95' Z71. He's had zero problems with the lift over the past 3.5 yrs. And, he hasn't babied it either. The lift has held up real well, but I can say, the install left a little to be desired. Alot of things didn't line up and other install problems we ran into. But, once it was on there, its been fine. I've read the same thing other places as well.

Rough country lifts are the same as a superlift for that model. It is a 5.25" actual drop. I have the superlift and have no problems.

Damn I forgot how cheap $$$ these lifts were. I dont see why people would buy a superlift if it is basically the same for hundreds less
