?'s on painting a valance

620 Views 3 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  okie_in_cali
So, I tryed to make a tight U turn and my valance ate it. Thats all I really need to say. I just bought a valance off of ebay and it turns out that the 2004 gm pewter color is different than the 2003 gm pewter color. So, I want to repaint it. Do I just need to sand, primer and have a shop color match it? Is it that simple? If it is, what grade of sand paper would be best to use, and would it be ok to use a orbital sander? Also, can I primer it my self, or should I let a pro handle it? Thanks guys anything helps.
