Should be pretty reliable. Don't expect to cruise past 70... the engine is weak. If you are above 5'7" I would think you will feel pretty cramped inside.

Todd would be the best person to ask.

6.5's are not that great of a motor, but thats really not why you get an H1. Do you plan on running this on the highway?

If that's true, then lol, it's not a real H1 but a Suburban conversion :roflmao:

Some humvees actually had 350 options. The majority have diesels, and in the later years there was no option. However, there was a factory option for a 350, but I'm not sure of the exact year matrix. I see control arms in the front and CTIS so I'd bet it is real.

This one looks way to real to be fake. It's even got the air system on the wheels. Somebody figure out what this thing is.

Well it doesnt look to have a solid rear axle. Some were converted to 5.7 cause they had similar power to the old diesel.

I'm a little late to this thread.

but here's some general info on AM General Hummers (1992-2001) name changed to Hummer H1 until 2006.

1992s had 6.2 NA Detroit Diesel with 3L80; 1993s were 1992s leftover and changed to 1993 when sold
1994s had 6.5 NA Detroit Diesel with 4L80
1995s had 6.5 NA Detroit Diesel with 4L80 or chevy 5.7L
1995s had 6.5 NA Detroit Diesel with 4L80 or chevy 5.7L also first year of 6.5 Turbo/4L80
1996s-2004 had various versions of 6.5 Turbo/4L80
2005s- nonexistant
2006- Duramax w/Allison1000 5spd

there are some that say 6.5NAs were available until 97 or 98. according to factory brochures is what my info is based upon.

also the Chevy 350s got about half the fuel mileage as the diesels did. and were not powerful enough for the truck. you wouldnt have anywhere near the capability as the diesels.

it was common during the gas price spike for the diesels to be swapped for big block chevys like 454s, 502s and some got the ZZ572 crate motor.
