Hey everyone,

My '07 Suburban's seatbelt chime has gotten consistently more annoying. It started doing an overlapping double chime when neither driver or passenger seatbelts were on. Now it does a double ding and it's very staticky, one of the most annoying chimes I've ever heard. I would rather not disable but it's getting very irritating. I have read that it broadcasts through one or more of the door speakers, does anyone know which one? Help is greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know if there is a way to disable just the chime but retain the dash light? We wear our seatbelts religiously, it's just annoying when idling somewhere and the chime won't stop. The threads I've read regarding disabling the chime seems to disable the entire warning system.

Don't know about the burbs but, on a NBS Silverado you can disable the chime. It's in the manual, though the red icon on the cluster will still flash for a minute or two then turn off.
