I have a 1983 Scottsdale with a 383 lifted 6 inches with 38.5x11 inch boggers on mismatched mickey thompson wheels. Basically the truck in the picture but I cleaned it up and painted it and it looks very nice now, too nice to really take mud bogging anymore. I am about to sell it and am contemplating selling the lift and tires and putting the stock stuff back on it.

Question- Do you think the truck will bring more money lifted or just really nice stock height?

I saw a clean no rust K5 on a local lot with Clunker written on the windsheild in spray paint. Bout made me sick.

To the original poster, the mix matched rims would drive me nuts if I was looking to buy that truck. But it wouldn't total stop someone looking for a Resto-mod project or looking for a stout truck. You would probally have better luck selling it whole.

It doesn't qualify for Cash for Clunkers anyway, it's older than an 84. And why the fuck would you do that to a classic GM truck like that in decent shape. Sure you may get an extra $1500 or so but for fucks sake have some respect for the classics. CfC is a stupid bill that should have never went through.

Yeah I don't buy new cars so CFC isn't how I am going, believe it or not they still go for 3000-4000 easy in good shape around here, a buddy just sold his 84 fleetside for $6500 but it was in very nice shape.
