Truck: 02 Silverado 4.8
About a month ago, like a dumb shit I washed my filthy engine bay. Shortly after my SES light came on and my truck started gulping gas. I got the code pulled and it was the knock sensors. I found it to be a common problem with water getting in there and causing a short. So I:
* Replaced both sensors with brand new ones
* Checked resistance on the wiring harness and it reads great
* Replaced everything, threw a new valve cover gasket on
* Cleared the code (1 and 1 pending) with a obd2 reader from autozone
* Ran great everything perfect for about 2 weeks.
Just threw the same code again. What would be causing this. The truck sounds perfect and doesnt appear to be knocking. Is there a different way the code should have been cleared? Does the obd2 scanner fully erase the code.
