so i have a 99 sierra and i havn't had any problems with the 4.3 that is under the hood until now my SES light just came up and i had the obd checked and is said that i had multi. miss fires and a miss fire in a cylender two seperate codes. i replaced the plugs wich is common for the milage i am at. and i orders msd wires and a cap and rotet for my distributer but i am wondering if anyone out there has ran in to this problem before and was wanting some opinions.

sounds like a cap and rotor to me. I usually just get the delco ones, they've always worked great for me, i think my last tune up was 50 bucks..

I had that problem on my Sonoma 4.3 V6. I replaced cap and rotor, spark plugs and wires. Turned out to be the fuel injector. It just wasn't throwing any fuel into cylinder 1. I bought a used one from a guy for $50, threw it in, and it ran like a champ.
