I took the drain plug off to drain the oil that comes in it and noticed that on the threads there were some metal shavings? I know this isnt good but has anyone else seen this problem?
You mean like small shavings in the threads? I would be more concerned about larger ones or lots of them but most likely it's due to just unscrewing the bolt. It has a warranty, right?
if its just on the threads it could be from cross threading, or just from tapping it and few left on there. If there's none in the oil, and the drain plug seals you shouldn't have a problem.
i gotta a flash light & mangifying glass to see whats up and some of the threads looked pretty nasty
there wasnt any in the ester oil i drained out so thats good
theres not alot of shaveings but im still going to call airlift monday and see what they say
